Domaine Belle's 2019 Saint Joseph "Les Rivoires" is distinguished by its authentic character and refined expression of terroir. This wine is made from Syrah grapes grown on the sunny slopes of the Saint Joseph appellation.
The carmine red color features intense ruby highlights. On the nose, strawberry and raspberry quickly dominate, forming a pleasant, crisp, and enjoyable ensemble. Upon swirling, floral notes reminiscent of rose and iris add a more soaring and airy dimension.
Harvesting is carried out manually, and only healthy, ripe grapes are selected. After complete destemming, a pre-fermentation maceration is carried out, followed by traditional fermentation. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, which adds complexity and finesse.
On the palate, the wine is both straightforward and docile. The silky, pure tannins contribute to this impression of smoothness, without excess. Present and elegant, with character, it is recommended to open it within 5 years with fine meats, lightly seasoned with spices.
It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 16°C to fully appreciate its aromatic richness and complexity. This wine pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, game, or even mature cheeses.
