Nord Sud Viognier 2024 - Laurent Miquel 75cl
Under the Languedoc sun, the vines for this cuvée stretch from the northern hills to the southern plains. Viognier, the emblematic grape variety of the south, expresses itself with generosity and balance, offering a wine that is at once luscious, silky, and bursting with fruit.
Sourced from a selection of north-south oriented plots, the grapes are harvested at night to preserve their aromatic freshness. Gentle pressing ensures that only the finest juices are retained. Fermentation takes place at a low temperature (14 to 17°C), and a portion of the wine (30%) is aged in French oak barrels to add complexity and roundness.
The wine is a brilliant golden yellow. The nose evokes pear, white peach, and acacia blossom. On the palate, the attack is ample, supported by a lovely freshness. The finish, lively and balanced, leaves an impression of purity and elegance.
Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs perfectly with grilled fish, exotic dishes and oriental cuisine.
