Dirty South Saint Émilion Grand Cru 2016 - Vignobles Bardet 75cl
The 2016 Dirty South Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from Vignobles Bardet comes from historic family plots, selected for the richness of their terroir. This wine takes its name from the musical influence of "Dirty South," a style of American hip-hop, and the vineyard's location south of Saint-Émilion. The plots, planted on deep sand and sand-over-gravel by previous generations, reveal all the diversity and richness of this unique terroir.
This wine combines tradition and modernity. The vineyard is cultivated according to agroecological practices, certified High Environmental Value (HVE) level 3 and ISO 14001, with total and permanent natural grass cover. The grape varieties are mainly Merlot and Cabernet Franc, allowing for a perfect balance between power and elegance.
Berry selection is carried out using innovative techniques such as Tribaie and Calibaie, to ensure optimal quality. Vinification is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, with particular attention paid to microbiology, limiting the use of sulfites. Maceration is carried out by infusion, with total immersion of the marc, ensuring gentle extraction without a pump. Aging continues in single-wine barrels for 14 months, bringing finesse and complexity to the wine.
The 2016 Dirty South presents a deep, intense color. Its nose reveals complex aromas of black fruits, accompanied by spicy and mineral nuances. On the palate, it offers an elegant and ample texture, with silky tannins and a beautiful aromatic persistence.
This wine, designed to age for 10 to 15 years, is ideally enjoyed between 16 and 18°C, offering a rich and memorable sensory experience, right down to its label inspired by 90s hip-hop albums.
