Saint-Romain Blanc "Au Bas de Poillange" 2023 - Capitain Gagnerot 75cl

Capitain Gagnerot's 2023 Organic Saint-Romain Blanc "Au Bas de Poillange" is a 100% Chardonnay wine, produced from Upper Jurassic marl-limestone formations, with marl substrates dominated by white marl. Harvesting is carried out by hand, with sorting and destemming, followed by a light pressing of approximately 4 hours. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in oak barrels at approximately 20°C, with aging for 6 to 8 months in barrels, 10% of which are new barrels.

This wine has a pale yellow color with green highlights. The nose is dominated by aromas of lime blossom with a slight minerality. On the palate, it is rich without being heavy, offering remarkable roundness and delicacy. It pairs perfectly with pan-fried scallops, delicate fish, or poached eggs. Serve at an ideal temperature of 10 to 12°C.
