Beaune 1er cru Blanc 2021 - Philippe Germain 75cl
Philippe Germain's 2021 Beaune 1er Cru Blanc is an elegant and complex Chardonnay from the renowned terroirs of Beaune in Burgundy. This wine comes from a premier cru vineyard, where the mineral-rich limestone soils give the wine great finesse and a beautiful mineral tension.
Its color is a pale yellow with golden highlights. On the nose, this 2021 vintage is distinguished by delicate aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits, and white-fleshed fruits such as apple and pear, accompanied by subtle buttery and almond notes. On the palate, this Beaune 1er Cru is full-bodied and balanced, with a refreshing acidity that highlights the minerality and purity of the terroir. The texture is round and silky, while the finish, persistent and slightly saline, reveals notes of dried fruits and toast.
Served between 10 and 12°C, this wine is perfect with refined dishes such as fish in sauce, seafood, poultry in cream sauce, and mature cheeses. It can be enjoyed today for its freshness and finesse, but it will continue to improve in the cellar for 5 to 8 years, gaining in complexity and aromatic depth.
